Can Capi began with a simple idea: dogs deserve more than a place to stay. They deserve a home.
«A dog’s wellbeing isn’t just about being fed and walked. It’s about feeling safe enough to be themselves. That’s what we protect, every day, in our home.«
— Daniela
Led by Daniela, a veterinarian with more than fifteen years of experience and a Master’s in Ethology, our family welcomes a small number of dogs into our home in Barcelona, where they share our routines, our walks, our couch, and our care.
There are no kennels here. No rows of cages, no fluorescent lights, no twenty dogs in a yard. They share space with a family.
Our purpose is to give dogs a second family when their own needs to travel, and to give you peace of mind knowing your best friend is safe, loved, and at home.
Most stays are arranged in a week. The first meeting is the most important part.
Send us a short note: name, age, energy, dates. We answer the same day, usually within an hour.
We meet at a nearby park for a coffee-length introduction. Capi says hello first. We watch how they interact.
Daniela has practiced clinical veterinary medicine for over a decade. Health flags get caught early, by someone who knows what to look for.
Behavior shapes everything we do, how we introduce dogs, how we walk them, when we step in, and when we let them be.
We never host more than five dogs at a time. Small enough that every name gets remembered, every routine gets noticed.
Not a kennel, not a back-garden of cages. A flat in city centre where dogs walk on warm floors and sleep where we sleep.

Final availability depends on compatibility, dates, and the first meeting. We’d rather say no than overcrowd, quiet group dynamics are what makes Can Capi different.
We’re in the city centre, with parks, the beach and Port Vell within a ten-minute walk. The address is shared after the first message.
Up to five at a time, including Capi. We turn down requests when the group is full. We’d rather say no than overcrowd.
Yes, from four months old, after their second vaccination round. Younger pups can be assessed on a case-by-case basis if you’re local.
No. There are no cages, kennels, or crates at Can Capi. Dogs sleep wherever they like, most choose the couch or the bedroom rug.
A photo in the morning and a short note in the evening, by default.
Daniela is a practicing veterinarian. Medications, post-surgery recovery, anxious dogs, and seniors are all welcome, we’ll talk through the routine before the stay and confirm it together.
Always. Every dog comes for an introduction at the flat before their first stay. It’s free, it takes about an hour, and it’s the moment we decide together if Can Capi is right for them.
Send us a note through the form below, or message us on WhatsApp. We answer the same day, propose a first meeting, and confirm dates once it’s gone well.
